Pay Information $1,832 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, EKG Rhythm Certification Must-Have: - Neuro and cardiac experience - Advanced skills Description: This unit has 25 beds with patient ratios of 4:1 during the day and 5:1 at night. The staffing includes 1 Charge Nurse, 6-7 RNs, 2 technicians, and 1 unit secretary. Key equipment includes Alaris Pumps, tele-tracking, Imobile Communication, B450 Monitors, and the Pyxis system. Documentation is maintained through Meditech. Full-time positions require 36 hours per week with every third weekend off. Part-time positions require 24 hours per week with every third weekend off. PRN positions require a commitment to 3 shifts per month, including one weekend shift. Travelers or contract nurses are also expected to work 36 hours per week and every other weekend. The floating policy operates on a rotating system to meet hospital needs. Essential functions include triaging acute care patients and identifying life-threatening rhythms. Procedures performed on this unit include glucose monitoring, Foley insertion, dressing changes, EKGs, and peritoneal dialysis.
