Experience in Assisted Living strongly preferred.
Position Overview:
Chestnut Hill Residences by Complete Care is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee clinical operations at our Assisted Living facility. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in Assisted Living care management, ensuring top-quality resident services, regulatory compliance, and a supportive environment for both residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and oversee all aspects of the nursing department to ensure the delivery of quality care to residents. Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing Assisted Living facilities. Develop, implement, and update nursing policies, procedures, and best practices. Supervise and mentor nursing staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and teamwork. Coordinate resident care services to meet individual needs and optimize health outcomes. Conduct regular assessments and care plan reviews, ensuring alignment with current medical best practices. Oversee staff scheduling, training, and ongoing education programs to maintain high standards of care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and external providers to coordinate comprehensive resident care. Address and resolve any clinical concerns promptly, maintaining open communication with residents and their families. Support quality assurance initiatives and participate in audits and inspections to uphold the facility's standards.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey, in good standing. Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within an Assisted Living facility. Strong knowledge of Assisted Living regulations and standards of practice. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partners. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and relevant healthcare software.
