Software Quality Engineer
As a Software Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and delivering high-quality embedded firmware, software solutions, and products. You will create and execute test plans and manual/automated scripts. You will also maintain the test suite, analyze test results, report defects, work with development teams to resolve them, and verify defect resolutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, business analysts, and other QA engineers. You will champion quality throughout the software development lifecycle, including participating in Agile ceremonies and ensuring adherence to development standards. You will stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and testing methodologies and apply industry trends and best practices. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or electrical engineering. 3+ years' experience in software engineering and/or testing. Proficiency in programming languages like C/C++, Python, or JavaScript. Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems. Experience with test automation, including API and end-to-end testing. Familiarity with various testing methods (e.g., unit testing, integration testing, system testing). Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Experience with deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Detail-oriented and passionate about building quality products. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the Test and Measurement industry (e.g., oscilloscopes). Experience with specific tools (e.g., JIRA, Jama, Git, Jenkins). Experience with performance testing, security testing, or containerization. Certification like ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Software Quality Engineer (CSQE).
