Job Posting: Gis Analyst Senior

Project Description: DRT provides GIS solutions to address diverse, complex, and emerging problems within the public health domains of environmental health, infectious disease, chronic disease, and emergency preparedness/response. The team develops innovative data capture and analysis techniques in the field to enhance emergency response efforts all around the world. Job Summary: The GIS Analyst Senior works directly with public health GIS analysts, coordinators, epidemiologists, and local public health officials to address environmental health and emergency preparedness and response issues. The role embraces, leverages, and promotes geospatial technology. Responsibilities:
Identifies, recommends, and performs geospatial analyses in support of public health projects. Performs GIS technical and analytic information services when analyzing, summarizing, and coding the scientific data contained within information systems and databases related to public health. Directs, administers, or coordinates GIS technical information services related to information systems and GIS analysis projects. Presents and demonstrates technical concepts and applications to non-GIS project partners. Performs analysis of GIS public health and environmental data including proximity analysis, surface analysis, and network analysis. Uses mobile tools such as Survey123 to gather, integrate, and analyze public health data. Produces static and interactive cartographic products to communicate complex concepts to audiences of all types. Develops project documentation in accordance with customer guidelines. Supports in the field activities domestically and internationally with average deployments of less than a month. Prepares, leads, and conducts public health GIS analysis training for domestic and international audiences; both in-person and virtually. Required Experience:
Must have or be able to obtain a Public Trust with the US federal government. At least seven years' experience with geospatial science and GIS technology, ArcGIS suite of software, GIS data and GIS data sources. Experience with demographic analysis, network analysis, time-series analysis, cartography, data management, and other GIS-related fields; SQL, Python, and R. Familiarity with software products such as Google (Maps, Google Earth), GPS technology, and Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Knowledge of geospatial and mapping concepts, such as spatial analysis, map projections, etc. Working knowledge of Esri JavaScript API/REST API using Python. Excellent data management skills. Preferred Experience:
Recent experience with CDC environment and standards: SDLC, technical architecture, release processes. Experience leading training events. Experience with professional travel. Experience working with multi-cultural and multi-lingual teams. Conversational or fluent language skills in an international language such as French or Spanish. Education & Training:
Bachelor's Degree in public health, GIS, or related field; Master's preferred. Salary Range:
$38-$52 / hr; salary commensurate with experience. Company Benefits:
