iOS Software Developer

Provide high-paced iOS software development for both internal and external projects where strong verbal and written communications skills are necessary. Manage multiple projects in parallel while prioritizing code quality and app performance. This position will serve as a subject-matter expert for iOS technologies and development. Responsibilities include: Planning and development of a wide range of iOS apps including new and existing high availability products Acting as a subject-matter expert for iOS technologies and development, supporting the adaptation of strong software architecture and best practices Collaborating with a range of cross-domain teams for completion of iOS projects and solving of complex problems Overseeing entire SDLC from planning, design, development, integration, and implementation of iOS applications, including building new services and managing technical debt Developing a variety of projects ranging from industry-wide services and other interfacing technologies Creating development code that is standard for the Human Capital Management (HCM) industry Making any adjustments to code after testing is performed to ensure that code will address testing concerns Partnering with other developers, quality assurance, and application support on software projects of all sizes Utilizing project management software, issue tracking and source control solutions to track communication about development specs, development, testing, and fixes Participating in team and project meetings to collaborate on concepts and designs Communicating with non-technical professionals Communicating with product managers on the clarification of specifications as needed Communicating with customer support to gather feedback on client needs and suggestions as needed Adhering to the organizational processes to track project metrics and status Utilizing Jira to track time spent on projects and meetings Collaborating with application support and quality assurance to evaluate stages in projects Participating in daily standup meetings Technologies used: Heavy usage: Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, networking with URLSession, Persistent Data storage (like CoreData), Swift Concurrency, Xcode, XCTests. Other usage: CI/CD, Fastlane, XcodeGen, XCUITests, Container technologies such as Docker; PHP, MySQL, JavaScript. Qualifications: Education/Certification: A Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering, or related degree; Similar education combinations may be considered for Bachelor's degree holders outside of the listed majors. Experience: 1+ years of native iOS development experience and have built large-scale, high-availability iOS applications Must have education, training, or experience in one or more of object-oriented programming, business intelligence tools, or mobile application development Ideal candidate will understand the mobile world, both current state and future state Preferred Qualifications: A portfolio of apps published in the Apple App Store Knowledge of 3 most recent major iOS versions, with an awareness of upcoming beta OS versions Knowledge of Web views, cookie management, session handling, etc. Knowledge of Google Firebase Experience in iOS Networking using Swift Intermediate skills using Xcode Knowledge of iOS dependency management Well-versed with Apple Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) Experience with local data storage such as CoreData is a plus Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to both detail and process Demonstrated skills with project management tools and methodologies, software development lifecycle, and problem solving Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and ability to meet stated deadlines Paycom is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
