Job Summary:
The Mid-America Division is seeking a non-cardiac thoracic surgeon to lead our programs in lung and esophageal surgery.Qualified Candidates:
- Thoracic surgery fellowship and ABTS certification required
- Broad skillset in thoracic surgery, a subspecialty interest is preferred
- Ability to obtain licensure in Missouri and Kansas
- Offers the opportunity to be part of Sarah Cannon Cancer Network with the ability to collaborate with leading oncology experts nationwide
- Position will be based at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas and Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri
- Dedicated thoracic surgery team including experienced OR nurses, surgical technologists and physician assistants who specialize in thoracic procedures and complex post-operative care
- Comprehensive surgical resources including advanced imaging systems, navigational bronchoscopy and specialized instrumentation for both open and minimally invasive approaches
- Thoracic surgeons operate in two metro facilities with a robust and growing structural heart program anchored at Research Medical Center
- Educate the next generation of physicians through our ACGME accredited cardiology fellowship program
- Ability to participate in a full array of industry-leading, innovative clinical trials and contribute to the extensive portfolio of peer-reviewed publications
