Job Opportunity: Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine in Richmond, VA
We have an exciting opportunity for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist to join our practice at a prestigious health system in vibrant Richmond, Virginia. St. Mary s Hospital, the flagship hospital of a well-respected healthcare system, offers a collaborative environment with a focus on outpatient care and support from a dedicated team of professionals.
Job Responsibilities:- Open to part-time with guaranteed hours or full-time candidates.
- Work in an outpatient practice setting.
- Provide coverage due to a new position.
- Engage in outpatient clinics, consults, and a limited range of inpatient procedures at two hospitals.
- No deliveries required.
- Participate as part of a 2+ physician Maternal-Fetal Medicine practice offering consult-only services.
- Utilize two outpatient clinic locations supported by Nurse Practitioners.
- Perform minimal procedures, including cerclages and in-office Amniocentesis.
- Collaborate with affiliated neonatologists and NNPs for Level 2 and Level 3 NICUs.
- Available roles include full-time, part-time, Medical Director, per diem, in-clinic-only, or on-call-only.
- Utilize Viewpoint and EPIC systems for patient management.
- Previous experience in MFM work is preferred; new or upcoming fellowship graduates are encouraged to apply.
- This is a permanent position requiring residency within the immediate local area.
- Not open to candidates commuting from long distances or working multiple jobs.
- Board Certified in OB/GYN (required).
- Board Eligible (1-5 years from residency and working toward BC) or Board Certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine (required).
- Fellowship-trained in MFM (to be completed prior to start) (required).
- Virginia medical license (or willing to obtain) (required).
- BLS and ACLS certification (or willing to obtain) (required).
- Clean malpractice and license history (required).
- At least 1 year of Maternal Fetal Medicine work experience (not including fellowship) (preferred).
- DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start) (required).
- Virginia state medical license.
- BLS and ACLS certification (or willing to obtain).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
- DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).
