Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Ophthalmologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality eye care, including diagnosing and treating a range of ocular conditions, performing surgical procedures, and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed eye examinations to identify and manage ocular diseases and vision disorders
Create and implement individualized treatment plans, including medications and non-surgical therapies
Perform eye surgeries, including cataract, glaucoma, and refractive procedures as necessary
Participate in clinical research or trials to contribute to advancements in the field of ophthalmology
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Monitor patient progress during follow-up appointments and assess overall ocular and systemic health
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide specialized care for elderly or high-risk patients
Provide patient education on eye care, preventive practices, and post-operative instructions
Qualifications, Licensure, and Experience:
Medical degree (MD or DO) with a focus in Ophthalmology
Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency program
Board-certified or board-eligible in Ophthalmology
Clinical research experience preferred but not required
Strong familiarity with ophthalmic equipment, systems, and medical documentation practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
