StaffMed Health Partners has partnered with a National Hospital System to seek a talented cardiothoracic surgeon to join their established practice and growing service line in Kissimmee, FL.

Practice Highlights / Qualifications:
  • Join a growing network of experienced cardiothoracic surgeons with locations from Gainesville, Tallahassee, Ocala, Orlando, Fort Walton Beach, and Pensacola
  • Practice currently performs coronary revascularization, valve repair and replacements as well as broad based thoracic surgery. Florida Heart and Lung encompasses several advanced cardiothoracic surgical programs, including TAVR, minimally invasive cardiac and robotic thoracic surgery, as well as aortic surgery and ECMO.
  • The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
    • Experience and comfort level with aortic disease, valve repair and replacement to include open and endovascular aortic procedures
    • Experience with TAVR
    • Knowledge and experience with advanced technologies to reduce the invasiveness of thoracic and cardiovascular procedure
  • The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within the team of our growing program, and have a positive track record of team building.
  • Our interdisciplinary team includes cardiologists, anesthesiologists, surgical, RN and Critical Care staff to produce the highest possible quality and outcomes.
  • Experience is required
  • While a minimum of 5 years of experience is preferred, candidates with less experience will be considered and are encouraged to apply

The hospital you will be affiliated with is a 404-bed tertiary care facility accredited by The Joint Commission, is designated as a Level II Trauma Center, and boasts a Level III NICU. It is a teaching hospital in collaboration with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and is home to several Residency and Fellowship programs. It is a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, and a Blue Distinction Center in Cardiac Care.
