This community hospital provides comprehensive healthcare services to the region with 45 staffed beds plus a 20-room Emergency Department. The facility utilizes Meditech Expanse EMR for documentation and patient management and offers strong support with dedicated nursing staff.
Opportunity:
Board Certified/Eligible - OB Hospitalist
Job Details:
• Coverage needed for specific dates: 10/31/25-11/3/25 and 1/2/26-1/5/26 with potential for additional vacation coverage• NOT an in-house position - requires 30-minute response time to hospital• Manage labor and delivery services with approximately 360 births per year (average one delivery per day)• Participate in 1:4 call rotation for both weekdays and weekends• Handle both routine vaginal deliveries and complicated deliveries including C-sections (30% C-section rate)• Manage low-risk pregnancies and occasional high-risk deliveries• Perform FHR interpretation including NST and FSE• Conduct Level I/Screening (Viability) OB ultrasounds• Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations as required• GYN surgical cases are not expected• Work with supportive team of 4 physicians and nursing staff• Must maintain BLS and ACLS certification• Board Certification or Board Eligibility (within 1 year of graduation) required• Must have ABOG or AOA-accredited OB/GYN residency• Active Ohio medical license required• Clean malpractice/licensure history highly preferred• Credentialing can be completed in 14 days for clean files• Travel expenses covered including flight, rental car, and lodging
