Job Title: Medical Director - Pediatric Hospitalist
Join a dynamic pediatric hospitalist practice in the beautiful city of Hollister, California. Job Responsibilities:- Act as the Medical Director for the pediatric hospitalist practice.
- Provide coverage for high-risk deliveries.
- Conduct emergency room consultations involving pediatric patients.
- Manage pediatric admissions for low acuity cases.
- Deliver well newborn care at the hospital.
- Coordinate with the Level-III NICU at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose for newborns requiring intensive care.
- Work a full-time schedule of twelve 24-hour shifts monthly, with on-call responsibilities from home.
- Support a hospital with approximately 500 deliveries annually.
- Engage in a collaborative work environment; commuters are encouraged to apply.
- Board Certification in Pediatrics (BC Pediatrician) - required.
- Current in-patient hospital experience.
- Clean malpractice and license history - highly preferred.
- Residency in the immediate local area or willingness to relocate.
- Board Certified (BC) Pediatrician.
- Current California Medical License or willingness to obtain.
- DEA registration must be obtained prior to start.
