Hilltop Holdings is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technology Liaison Specialist to join the IT team, fully dedicated to the Hilltop Securities Momentum Independent Network (MIN). The Momentum Independent Network is an independent broker-dealer and Registered Investment Adviser that serves wealth management professionals and their clients across the United States. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless onboarding and integration of systems for our independent advisors joining MIN. The Technology Liaison Specialist will act as a bridge between the business, IT, Compliance, and MIN leadership, translating technical needs into actionable requirements and facilitating effective communication and collaboration. This position will also involve vetting new solutions during the advisor onboarding process and developing thoughtful plans in coordination with IT, considering integration needs, compliance supervision and monitoring needs, and security implications. This position will also involve vetting new solutions during the advisor onboarding process and developing thoughtful plans in coordination with IT, considering integration needs, compliance supervision and monitoring needs, and security implications.
Responsibilities
Advisor Onboarding: Assist with the onboarding of independent advisors, ensuring their technology needs are met promptly and effectively. Solution Vetting: Evaluate new technology solutions to ensure they meet the specific needs of the independent advisor channel. Technical Requirements: Translate independent advisor needs into detailed technical requirements. Implementation Planning: Develop thoughtful plans for collaborating with IT, Compliance, and MIN leadership on the necessary implementation of new technologies. Integration Support: Ensure seamless integration of new systems with existing tools, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. Communication Facilitation: Act as an intermediary between the business, IT, Compliance, and MIN leadership, ensuring clear and effective communication. Proactive Problem Solving: Identify and address potential issues before they become significant problems, providing proactive notification to IT, Compliance, and the business. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation that describes the systems and integrations that comprise MIN. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technology liaison or similar role, preferably within the financial services industry and more specifically Wealth Management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited university and/or related industry certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCP, etc.) Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience administering a Windows server environment Minimum 1 years managing Microsoft Exchange and Office365 Minimum 1 years managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, group policy, and Domain and Forest Good understanding of Windows server 2008/2012/2016 Familiar with Enterprise management tools (SCCM, SCOM, WSUS) Financial industry experience preferred Must have strong keyboarding and math skills Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
