Hospital is looking for a locum vascular surgeon to help provide the team with coverage starting Sept 2025. Call coverage for vascular surgery includes surgical treatment of blunt and other vascular trauma.



Schedule/Availability Requirements:

  • Sept 15 (7a) - 18 (7a)


Details:

  • 24 hour call to include 4 gratis hours (7a-7a)
  • 7a-7a - 24 Call coverage for vascular surgery to include surgical treatment of blunt and other vascular trauma.
  • Setting: Call Trauma Level II
  • FTE: 1.0
  • Required Procedures/Job Duties: Abdominal Open/Endovascular
  • EMR: EPIC
    Support Staff: None
  • Reason for Coverage: Locums coverage for existing surgeons' time off.


Credentialing Information:

  • Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days but typically much less time if everyone is responsive. Site prefers to complete within 30 days.
  • Credentialing with other facilities? No
  • Emergency Temp Privs? Yes within a week.


EMR Required Training:

  • Module (learn lessons) & EUPA Test Must be completed prior to Zoom PPL (Provider Personalization Lab)
  • EMR Virtual (Zoom) PPL Only able to attend if Modules & EUPA test are completed before training. Virtual EMR training is schedule before the providers first day.

Submission Requirements
  • Board Certification Vascular Surgery - Required
  • Active CO license - Required or IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of submission)
  • Active DEA - Required for credentialing (site will consider a transferred DEA, however, must keep this DEA for the duration of the assignment, not just for shifts worked.)
  • Must disclose # of shifts per month ongoing provider can offer to the team at submission - Required
  • Candidate must be available for the Sept stint in the job description to be considered - Required
  • Must acknowledge candidate understands the EMR training requirements set forth in job description and will complete in this order to avoid missing their start date - Required
  • Clean Malpractice/background - Required for quick credentialing
