Job Overview: A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Of Counsel attorney for its Riverside, CA office. The role will involve defending and litigating a wide range of employment-related claims, advising and counseling employers on labor law matters, and representing clients in court, arbitration, and mediation. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience managing employment litigation cases in a first-chair capacity, with a strong understanding of class actions, wage-and-hour disputes, discrimination, harassment, and other employment-related issues. Location: Riverside, CA Duties: Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges. Advise, counsel, and train employers on employment and labor law matters. Represent employers in court, arbitration, before administrative agencies, and at mediations. Handle various employment matters, including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete cases. Manage litigation cases in a first-chair capacity, ensuring quality representation and timely resolution of matters. Provide guidance and supervision to associates and paralegals, delegating assignments and offering feedback as necessary. Requirements: Minimum of 9 years of experience in employment litigation, with significant experience managing cases in a first-chair capacity. Class Action/PAGA experience preferred but not required. In-depth understanding of both state and federal agency procedures. Proven ability to handle complex employment-related claims in a variety of legal forums. Supervisory experience over associates and paralegals, including delegating tasks and providing constructive feedback. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials. Certifications: Active and current membership in the California State Bar in good standing.
