We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven

Business Development Manager Northeast Territory

to join our growing team at ATC Automation. This role is responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives and building strong relationships within the life sciences sector, including pharma, diagnostics, medical devices, and medical consumables. In addition to life sciences, this role will also focus on the transportation and consumer products sectors. The ideal candidate will bring industry expertise, build strong relationships, and a passion for enabling scientific and automation innovation through strategic partnerships and custom solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Market Development:

Identifies, assesses, and prioritizes new business opportunities in the life sciences, focusing on key growth areas such as biotechnology, diagnostic drug delivery and medical device fields. This position will also focus on new market penetration in the transportation and consumer products sectors. Lead Generation & Sales Pipeline:

Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads through networking, outreach, conferences, and inbound inquiries. Client Engagement:

Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers including manufacturing engineers, process engineers, procurement leads, and management. Proposal Development:

Prepare compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the unique needs of life science customers. Contract Negotiation:

Lead negotiations and close deals that align with business objectives and ensure long-term client satisfaction. Market Intelligence:

Monitor trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies within life sciences to inform strategy and solution development. Collaboration:

Work closely with marketing, applications engineering, and operations teams to ensure customer needs are met and exceeded. Reporting:

Maintain CRM data and provide regular reports on pipeline status, forecasts, and key account performance. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field. 3+ years of experience in business development or sales within the life sciences sector. Deep understanding of the drug development and device development process. Experience and basic understanding of life science manufacturing practices, such as automation, GAMP, or Validation. Proven ability to develop and close strategic partnerships or high-value sales through long term sales cycles and relationship investment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong understanding and hands-on application of value-based selling methodologies-ability to link technical solutions to customer ROI, and risk mitigation. Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills. Travel required. Preferred Skills

Experience working with CMOs, CDMOs, or life science OEM manufacturers. Technical background or automation experience a plus. Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce). Experience as an Automation Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer is a plus. What We Offer
