Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid 3 to 5 days/week in office)

The Role
As a
Sr.
DevOps & Backend Engineer , you will:
Own our Azure infrastructure & deployments for high uptime and reliability. Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems in
Python
(FastAPI). Engineer robust GenAI workflows (hybrid RAG, agents, chains of thought). Maintain database performance (Postgres) and asynchronous task management (Redis/ARQ). Collaborate closely with product and domain experts to ship high-impact features fast. Uphold strong security (SOC2 compliance, key management, logging best practices). You will be
hands-on
everyone here builds, ships, and solves problems directly.
What You Bring
Must-Have Skills
Strong DevOps experience in
Azure
(AWS/GCP also considered). Proficiency in
Python
backend development. Experience with job queues & task orchestration (Celery, RQ, etc.). Database management & backend architecture skills. Ability to work from our San Francisco office 3 days/week. Nice-to-Haves
LLM API & prompt engineering experience. Hybrid RAG/hallucination guardrails / agentic workflows. Startup experience. LegalTech or legal domain exposure. Personal use of AI tools (Cursor, Copilot, Midjourney, etc.). Why You'll Love It Here
