Job Description Travel OR/CST Tech is needed for 13 weeks to start ASAP in a facility in Montana. 1 year of experience. Shifts are various days, plus call. BLS and CST are required. The Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible for the provision of patient care to meet identified patient outcomes, and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the physician and Peri-Operative Surgical nursing team. The Surgical Technologist prepares the equipment, instruments and supplies during surgery as well as protects the sterile area. Incumbents must have a clear understanding of the surgical procedure being performed, in order to anticipate needs of the performing surgeon. Unit Description Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required. Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program recognized by the commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), or certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA), is required. Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic medical record documentation, preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. The Surgical Technologist performs duties according to scope of practice designated by Barrett Hospital & HealthCare as identified in the role and responsibilities and according to industry recognized professional organizations and certification boards.
