The Job
Children and Families Commission - First 5 San Bernardino is seeking a Supervising Office Assistant - Contract to plan and supervise the work of a clerical and/or customer service unit. Incumbents perform various duties which may include the following: participate in hiring and disciplinary actions; plan and organize the daily clerical support operations of an office; set work standards, systems and office procedures; coordinate clerical services with other departmental operations; maintain office records; compile information and prepare reports, budget justifications, special projects and studies; supervise the preparation of reports, forms and correspondence, as well as a variety of complex documents and other materials; and handle unusual and difficult problems referred by subordinates. Three (3) years of full-time office clerical experience
which includes performing a wide variety of complex and responsible clerical duties,

Desired Qualifications The ideal candidate will have progressively responsible clerical experience, supervision of varied clerical staff, the ability to handle multiple demands and deadlines, and excellent computer and keyboarding skills, while consistently demonstrating exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
