The Medical Receptionist Float#would work#a flexible schedule which is ideal if you are in school and your semester schedules change.## The Medical Receptionist greets and checks in#the patients at the front desk. Responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, insurance verification, collection of co-payments and prior authorizations. Responsible for setting up patient charts for new patients within the EMR system - EPIC. Scans and copies#pertinent information into EPIC.##Training is provided for this position. Performs various administrative functions in support of the medical office. Qualifications: Education:# High School Diploma required; Bachelor#s degree preferred. Work Experience:# A minimum of two years administrative experience preferred in a medical office or hospital setting,##A thorough understanding of medical office terminology and procedures, insurance carriers including Medicare and Medicaid. Work experience using an EMR system. Other:##Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook Email, scanning and faxing.# Must be proficient multi-tasking,#using organizational skills while supporting a multi-line phone system. #Must be dependable, have a good work ethic and value being part of a team working together.
