Responsibilities:
Examine slides to detect cellular abnormalities and potential signs of disease. Record data and ensure proper documentation for accurate and efficient record-keeping. Communicate information/issues to the supervisor/manager to ensure smooth laboratory operations and address concerns. Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. Assist and maintain QA/QC programs and monitors, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Must perform within productivity expectations as outlined in current departmental guidelines to ensure timely analysis and reporting.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or a related field. ASCP certification or equivalent Experience in Cytotechnology Strong knowledge of cellular anatomy, pathology, and diagnostic techniques. Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and computer systems for data entry and analysis. Ability to perform detailed analysis while maintaining productivity in a fast-paced environment.
