Scope: The Benefits Coordinator will be a valued member of the US Benefits team, working under the direct supervision of the Associate Vice President, US Benefits. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational and communication skills, with a keen client-focused mindset, ready to contribute to the administration of Houlihan Lokey’s comprehensive benefit programs. This position is designed to provide hands-on, foundational experience in employee benefits, offering a pathway for professional development and a comprehensive understanding of both benefits and leave administration. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate the daily administration of all health and welfare benefit plans. Respond to benefit inquiries from plan participants relating to eligibility, plan provisions, enrollments and status changes. Assist with the employee benefits onboarding process by providing comprehensive explanations of benefits, supporting benefits orientation presentations, ensuring employee enrollments are completed timely as well as vendors and employees’ records are constantly maintained and updated. Process and review benefit enrollments in the HRIS and vendor sites to ensure accuracy. Partner with the Benefit Analyst to ensure timely processing of benefit invoices and maintain internal reports to appropriately track status. Promptly address and route employee inquiries using the case management system. Assist with the coordination of team and vendor meetings. Assist employees with offboarding including answering questions and resolving issues related to COBRA. Participate in the Open Enrollment process, ongoing benefit program implementations and/or new hire orientations, as requested. Facilitate updates of global wellness initiatives on our intranet on a monthly basis Assist with special projects and events throughout the year. Assist with accommodation and leave administration processes. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field. 4 years of relevant experience will substitute for degree. At least 1-2 years of experience as a human resource and/or benefits professional preferably within a professional services environment Knowledge and experience related to commonly known HR and Benefits practices Outstanding attention to detail Superior written and verbal communication skills Must be adaptable and flexible in an ever-changing environment Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task Ability to communicate with all levels across the organization Exercise good judgment, a high level of integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times Display a level of professionalism in accordance with the Company’s values Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills Compensation and Benefits Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation.
