organized and motivated Site Manager
to oversee a busy Meals on Wheels site in Exeter, NH. This role involves managing
four home delivery routes
in Exeter & Stratham, coordinating a
seasonal Senior Dining Program , and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with food service experience and a passion for serving the senior community. A brief overview: Your day will start off with a delivery of food from our caterer. Everything is already cooked and prepared when it arrives at the site, you and your team just need to package everything up and get it ready to deliver. Then the meal delivery drivers pack their bags and head out to deliver meals. Your assistant and volunteers clean up and get things ready for the next day. You may also serve lunch to some of the seniors that attend the center for activities. As manager, you will make sure sanitation and food safe practices are being followed along with all other meals on wheels policies. You will have a weekly food order to complete. Contact clients and fill out client intakes and other needed paperwork to submit to the office. Attend monthly meetings. Perform home visits to assess client’s needs. Enter client data into system and set up meal schedule. Make weekly deposits, submit bi-weekly payroll and run reports. You also need to make sure the delivery routes are efficient and staff are following proper procedures. Make sure your staff are informed of day to day changes and follow up on emails and referrals in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily meal distribution : Ensure meals are properly packaged, organized, and ready for delivery. Supervise staff and volunteers : Provide leadership, maintain an efficient workflow, and ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols. Manage client intake and support : Conduct home visits, assess client needs, enter data, and set up meal schedules. Administrative duties : Complete weekly food orders, process client paperwork, make deposits, submit bi-weekly payroll, and generate reports. Optimize delivery routes : Ensure efficient meal distribution and that staff follow proper procedures. Communicate effectively : Keep staff informed of changes, respond to emails and referrals in a timely manner. Fill in as needed : Step in to assist with meal delivery or kitchen duties when short-staffed. Qualifications Previous food service and management experience preferred. ServSafe certification is a plus (training available). Proficiency in Microsoft Office platforms. Strong leadership and multitasking skills. Ability to work both at a desk and in the kitchen as needed. Experience working with seniors is preferred but not required. Must pass a driving and criminal background check. Competitive hourly wage
