This facility is committed to providing the highest quality care for newborns and their families, with an annual expectation of 600 deliveries and a supportive team of 4 Nurse Practitioners working alongside experienced Neonatologists. Belmont is conveniently located just 15 miles from uptown Charlotte and 8 miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, making it a perfect location for both work and leisure.
Job Responsibilities:- Conduct daily rounds on newborns in-house during the day.
- Respond to deliveries and provide care as requested.
- Take call from home after daily rounds.
- Stabilize, manage, and facilitate the transport of newborns needing higher-level care.
- Collaborate with a team of NNPs and Neonatologists to ensure quality care in both Level-I and Level-III NICUs.
- Opportunity for supplemental shifts at the level III NICU in Gastonia, if desired.
- Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
- Current APRN National Specialty Certification - Board Certified NNP (other NP certifications not accepted).
- Minimum of 2 years of employment experience as an NNP (not including RN experience).
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Current North Carolina nursing license or willingness to obtain.
- DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).
