Join Our Oncology Team in Beautiful Coos Bay, OR!
Bay Area Hospital, a 127-bed Level III Trauma facility, is seeking an additional Advanced Practice Caregiver to join our collaborative and growing Oncology service line. As the largest hospital on the Southern Coast of Oregon, we proudly serve a catchment area of over 320,000, committing to exceptional care and support for our vibrant community.
Job Responsibilities:- Full-time, Day shift - Four ten-hour shifts, no nights or weekends.
- Participate in shared paid call responsibilities.
- Primarily provide outpatient care with occasional inpatient consults.
- Work with the Bay Area Hospital Cancer Center, affiliated with Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU) Knight Cancer Network.
- Offer services in radiation therapy, chemotherapy, medical oncology, cancer support services, and clinical trials.
- Utilize a new 19-chair infusion room, in-house pharmacy, and full lab services available on-site.
- Function within a high caliber, collegial nurse infusion team.
- Perform tasks consistent with advanced practice training and licensure.
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment and engage in effective communication with referring physicians.
- Board Certified NP or PA - REQUIRED
- AONCP certification (or in process) - REQUIRED for NP candidates
- Oregon license (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED
- Ties to Oregon (i.e. family in the area or previous residency) - REQUIRED
- Experience in Oncology setting (inpatient and/or outpatient) - PREFERRED
- Clean malpractice history/background - REQUIRED
- Copy of NPDB self-query report - REQUIRED
- Board Certified NP or PA
- AONCP certification (or in process) for NP candidates
- Oregon State License
- Clean malpractice history/background
- Submission of a comprehensive presentation
