Join a nationally recognized children s hospital in San Francisco as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP), providing cutting-edge care in one of the country s top neonatal programs.
Position Overview:This is a full-time, hospital-based role in a certified Level IV NICU offering the most advanced neonatal care available. The unit is part of a regional intensive care network , serving over 20 hospitals across Northern California. The neonatal heart program is among the largest in the U.S., managing nearly 200 infants with congenital heart conditions annually.
Schedule:
Full-time, 12-hour shifts
Days, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays (rotating schedule)
Provide comprehensive care to critically ill neonates, including preterm and medically complex infants
Collaborate with neonatologists and multidisciplinary care teams
Participate in advanced procedures, care planning, and family education
Contribute to clinical excellence within a high-volume regional NICU
NNP-BC certification
Master s degree in Nursing with Neonatal NP focus
At least 1 year of recent NICU NP experience OR completion of a Neonatal ICU fellowship
Active California RN, NP, and Furnishing License
California DEA license (or transferable within 90 days of start)
AHA BLS and NRP certification
Completion of CMS Medicare/Medicaid and CCS enrollment (as applicable)
NPI registration
Must meet California BRN and supervising physician requirements
Note: Candidates with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired at the entry-level NP tier.
Compensation & Benefits:Base salary: $178,524 $233,020 (DOE)
