Immunohematology Reference Laboratory Supervisor - Blood Bank Facility

• Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm / Weekends and Holidays may be required as needed.

Currently seeking a dedicated IRL Clinical Laboratory Supervisor who is passionate about making a positive impact. The successful candidate will play an integral role in overseeing laboratory operations, ensuring quality control, and providing technical expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Role Type: Working Supervisor 3 days of supervision, 2 days of bench work
• Team Size: Supervising a team of 8
• Recruit, train, and evaluate laboratory personnel
• Ensure accurate preparation of reagents and quality assurance protocols
• Conduct competency assessments and maintain detailed documentation
• Perform equipment maintenance, quality checks, and calibrations
• Troubleshoot technical issues and perform repairs as needed
• Manage inventory of supplies and reagents
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and budget planning

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field
• Certification as a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist
• CLIA certification for High Complexity Testing
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical laboratory experience
• Preferred supervisory experience
• Preferred 2 years of experience in a reference laboratory setting
• Licensure: Must be able to obtain a Nevada Supervisor license
