Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist

Certifications: ARRT, BLS, Fluoroscopy
Must-Have:
Must have current cath lab experience.
Must be comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation.
Must be familiar with procedural processes, airway management, and cardiac drips such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors.
Experience with balloon pumps is required.
Description:
Unit has no first-time travelers.
Cath Lab Technologists work in teams of two, with one tech scrubbing and the other monitoring hemodynamics.
An RN performs conscious sedation during procedures.
Occasionally, a fourth person, either an RN or a tech, may assist depending on the case.
A Lead Tech is responsible for making room assignments.
The facility performs a variety of cases: coronary, peripheral, vascular, neuro intervention, and electrophysiology.
On average, the team handles between 10 and 22 cases per day.
Call is rotated for inpatient and emergent cases, typically once a week.
Weekend call is required once a month, from Friday evening through Monday morning, subject to change based on unit needs.
The facility can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, with the option to pay for a particular shift instead of cancellation.
Charting system in use is Cerner.
