Position Overview

The MRI Technologist will join a fast-paced Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center , working under the direction of the Medical Director, Section Head, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist. The technologist performs advanced MRI procedures while ensuring a safe, efficient, and positive patient experience.

This role includes trauma and emergency room scanning, as well as imaging for outpatients, inpatients (including ICU patients), research patients, and those undergoing specialized MRI-guided procedures.

Responsibilities

  Perform MRI scans in accordance with physician orders and department protocols

  Ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning

  Collaborate with radiologists, clinicians, and the care team to support patient care

  n n

  Support education and research initiatives in an academic medical setting

  n n
• n

  Maintain high standards of clinical quality while adapting to evolving technology

Qualifications

  ARRT Certification (MR) required

  n n
• n

  Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience preferred

  n n
• n

  Prior experience in a Level I Trauma Center or large hospital setting strongly preferred

  n n
• n

  Strong technical skills with ability to perform a wide variety of MRI studies, including trauma and emergent cases

  n n
• n

  Excellent communication and patient care skills

  n n
