As a member of the Sanford Radiology team in our Level 2 trauma center, you will work with cutting-edge equipment in various settings, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging. Our state-of-the-art technology includes:
- Fluoroscopy: Siemens Luminos Agile Max Fluoro
- Diagnostic X-Ray Imaging: Carestream Evolution, Revolution Portables, and Pediatric Nano Portable
- GE 656 & Definium 8000
- Operating Room Fluoroscopy: OEC C-Arms & Mini C-Arms
- Medtronic O-Arm
Be prepared for varying shifts, including 8, 10, and 12 hours, covering days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Call responsibilities will include 3 to 5 nights per month and every third weekend.
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled, empathetic Radiology Imaging Technologist who can deliver excellent diagnostic imaging services for patients at Sanford Health. In this multifaceted role, you will operate in diverse environments such as clinics, hospitals, emergency departments, and operating rooms, gaining experience in numerous specialties including fluoroscopy, surgery, orthopedics, and emergency care. Precision in your work is vital to assist our providers in delivering accurate diagnoses. There are also opportunities for advancement into other modalities such as CT, MRI, and Mammo.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations ensuring high-quality image production.
- Accurately position patients for radiographic procedures based on provider specifications.
- Implement radiation safety protocols and maintain proper radiation protection during imaging.
- Navigate the electronic medical record (EMR) system effectively.
- Handle basic diagnostic radiology tasks and adhere to general radiology protocols.
- Perform mobile imaging, EKGs, cardiac monitor placement, and DEXA procedures.
Qualifications
- Completion of an ARRT-approved educational program is required.
- Knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including positioning, image processing, quality control, and radiation safety is essential.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
- In North Dakota, licensure with the NDMIRT is mandatory for medical imaging roles.
- If qualifying in South Dakota or Iowa, candidates must obtain appropriate state licensure within specified timeframes.
- A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within six weeks of employment.
- A valid driver's license may be necessary, based on departmental needs.
