HIGHLIGHTS:
- Minimum experience: 2 years experience
- Required certifications: BLS, AART (CT)
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or registry-eligible
- Block scheduling possible based on the needs of the department
- No on-call responsibilities
- Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (with possibility to extend)
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required
- Must maintain required hours of continued medical education

MORE INFORMATION:
- Performs computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients
- May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations
- Explains examination procedure to patients and prepares patient for the examination
- Reviews clinical data on requisition and performs appropriate examination
- Prepares procedure room and regularly replenishes stock
- Analyzes anatomical structure of patient, sets up equipment and performs the CT scan
- Administers intravenous contrast media including utilization of power injectors
- Monitors patient for possible reactions
- May prepare and set up sterile equipment, monitors, and supplies
- Assists Radiologist in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies
- Performs all imaging procedures demonstrating principles of radiation protection
- Resolves PACS image exceptions and ensures high quality image delivery
- Completes all study indexing in RIS
- Reviews and confirms clinical protocols with Radiologist before performing study
