Job Title: MRI Technologist
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in MRI technology with at least 2 years of current experience. This full-time position requires a commitment to providing outstanding patient care while performing MRI scans and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct MRI scans as per physician instructions to diagnose and treat patients.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort during MRI procedures.
- Prepare and administer contrast media when required.
- Perform routine maintenance on MRI equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Keep accurate records of patient procedures and results, using charting systems such as Epic.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Rotate weekend shifts and be available for on-call coverage after hours.
Qualifications:
- Must hold the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification with MRI registration (MR).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Maryland state license preferred, but not required.
- Previous charge experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MRI imaging techniques and safety protocols.
- Experience in adult acute care and familiarity with trauma-level situations is a plus.
Work Schedule:
- Night shifts from 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM, Monday to Friday, with rotating weekends (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM).
- On-call shifts may be required.
Skills:
- Proficiency in conducting various MRI procedures including abdominal, cranial, and musculoskeletal imaging.
- Familiarity with advanced imaging techniques and post-processing methods.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
