About The Position
About the Position Position/Specialty: Cath Lab RN Shift: The team works 4 ten-hour shifts, Monday through Friday 6:30 am to 5 pm. Ratio: We have a Cath Lab team consisting of 3 full time nurses, as well as a Cath Lab with a pre/post procedure area that includes 4 bays. The pre/post area is staffed by 2 registered nurses. Only 1 Cath Lab procedure room. Weekend REQ? No Is on-call REQ? Yes, Monday Saturday (our callback is only for post PCI patients that need to be brought back into Cath lab. No STEMI call) Will this traveler float between service lines? No Floating Req to Sister Facilities: No Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 2 years First-timers accepted: Yes License REQ: Yes, SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start National Certs REQ: BLS, ACLS Radiation Badge REQ: Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers Miscellaneous Open to accommodating block schedule? Requires managers approval upon request. Dependent on unit's needs. Local Radius: 60-mile radius rule Locals Accepted: Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Called off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Acute Care Hospital Total Staffed Beds: 286 Scrub Color: Scrubs Provided Charting preferred: Epic Hurricane Season** Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a new or ext assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
