Duties
- Perform all routine nuclear medicine scans using client equipment.
- Maintain and handle radioactive materials safely and effectively.
- Participate in the on-call rotation, with a requirement to arrive within 30 minutes during assigned shifts on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
- Float to local Charlotte Area Medical Centers as needed, including Ballantyne, Mint Hill, Huntersville, Matthews, and Rowan.
- Utilize EPIC and NUCTRAC systems for ordering doses and pharmaceuticals.
- Proficient in adult, hospital, nuclear cardiology, and pediatrics settings.
- Experienced in performing gastric emptying, HIDA scan, Muga scan, and PET scan procedures.
- Skilled in bone and brain scans, including 3 phase, limited, whole body, and cerebral blood flow.
- Competent in liver/spleen scans such as liver flow, liver imaging, and liver scan-hemangioma.
- Experienced in lung scans, including DTPA aerosol, perfusion, and ventilation/perfusion.
- Proficient in renal flow procedures: flow/function, renal/perfusion, 3 phase, with Lasix.
- Skilled in thyroid studies, including cancer survey, I-123 uptake scan, and uptake scan.
- Experienced in tumor localization, limited and whole body.
- Proficient in SPECT (Single-Photon Emission CT) for bone, brain, liver, renal, and sestamibi parathyroid scans.
- Experienced in myocardial procedures such as pharmacological stress and thallium stress tests.
- bility to draw venous blood, manage isolation precautions, and start/maintain peripheral IVs.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
- Open to first-time travelers.
- Experience with PET is a must.
- Certification: NMTCB is required; no substitutes accepted.
