Job Description
Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist
Profession: Allied Health
Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday to Friday
Hours per Shift: 8-10 hours, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with call 1-2 days per week and every third weekend.
Experience: Minimum 1 year
License: Required for certain certifications
Certifications: BLS, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or ARRT (must be registered)
Must-Have:
Experience with panning is acceptable, but scrubbing experience is preferred.
Experience with IABP, Impella, Shockwave, Laser, IFR/FFR, IVUS, and Rotapro is preferred.
Experience with IV starts is preferred but not mandatory.
Description:
Radiation Badge must be supplied and in hand prior to start.
Candidates can be Rad Techs with Cath Lab scrub training or RCIS certified.
ND MRI license is not required prior to start.
Call requirements include being on call 1-2 days during the week and every third weekend.
The work environment involves scrubbing in and/or panning with potential responsibilities for activating fluoroscopy based on certification.
Common procedures include emergent revascularization, left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, and various diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Candidates will work in a team-oriented environment with an intensivist physician on-site 24/7.
Weeknight call hours are 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
Weekend call requires being available from Friday to Monday morning.
Response time for call is required to be within 20 minutes.
This position may involve floating to other departments as needed.
Scrub color and dress code are provided by the facility.
A week of department-specific orientation is included.
Candidates should bring a lock for their locker and designated hospital shoes.
Radius rule: Candidates must reside within 50 miles and cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any affiliated facilities.
Time off requests must be submitted before starting the contract and will be limited to 7 days.
