nHere's What You Need
nEducation
n· Other Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or nuclear medicine required Or
n· Associate's Degree preferred
nExperience
n· 2 years in nuclear medicine preferred
nLicenses and Certifications
n· ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Nuclear Medicine upon hire required Or
n· CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) upon hire required And
n· CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required And
n· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
nWhat You Will Do
nImaging Procedures, Quality and Processing
n· Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam
n· Positions patient to correct anatomical area of interest
nPatient Care
n· Uses multidisciplinary, team-oriented actions
n· Assesses and recognizes the patients emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions
nEquipment Operation and Maintenance
n· Adjusts technical factors
n· Operates, cares for and maintains equipment
nProfessional Accountability and Partnership
n· Maintains and enhances technical skills and technology advancement
n· Performs any assignment deemed necessary by supervisor
