Job Description
Preparing the operating room for surgery by ensuring that all necessary equipment, supplies, and instruments are available and in good working condition.
Assisting the surgical team by passing instruments, sponges, and other items needed during surgery.
Anticipating the needs of the surgical team and adjusting instruments and equipment accordingly.
Maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room by following strict infection control procedures.
Transporting patients to and from the operating room and positioning them on the operating table.
Assisting with the preparation and application of sterile dressings and bandages.
Documenting procedures and maintaining accurate records of supplies and equipment used.
Cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment after surgery.
