Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technician
Shift: 9 am-5 pm
On call or weekends required? Yes
Float yes float to endovascular OR suite, offsite location where IR cases are performed based on operational needs.
Call Back: yes weekdays and weekends to include holiday on call assignment. Night call weekend 24 hours on call requirements

Duties
- Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, neuro-interventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist
- Strong knowledge with Floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines
- The ability to identify, retrieve, and Circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases
- The ability to critically think during neuro-interventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralist
- The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Strong communication skills using closed loop communication
- The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for caseload
- Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of with nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons
- Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical records and send images to Sectra/PACs system
- Groin management post intervention
- Demonstrate the ability to provide high-quality care in a fast paced environment
- Current licensure with the certification with ARRT NJ state
- BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American Heart Association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures
- 3-5 years of experience as Interventional Radiologic technologist or a Cardio-Vascular technologist with NJ radiographic licensure.
- This role is similar to a cardiovascular technologist ( CVT) but MUST have radiographic licensure to operate x-ray fluoroscopic modalities.
