nPosition is full time, 80 hours per pay period on an 8 day on 6 day off rotation. The 8 day on stretch is comprised of 2-8 hour shifts, 4-10 hour shifts, & 2-12 hour shifts. Also includes limited call and included in the Holiday rotation.
nWe are looking for exceptional patient care in a fast paced work environment at a Trauma I center. Opportunity to work in the ER, Endoscopy, Operating Room, PICU/NICU, General Fluoroscopy and General X-ray.
nEquipment: Siemens Fluoroscopy rooms and Mira Portables. GE General X-ray Rooms and C-arms. Medtronic O-arms. Midmark Panorex. Epic One chart and Sectra PACS software.
nJob Summary
nPerforms diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images. Operates equipment to produce diagnostic images according to patient cases and relevant guidelines; ensures the quality of images is satisfactory for clinical purposes. Ensures accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures; conducts image operations according to provider requests and other technical factors. Implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection practices during the imaging process.
nDelivers excellent patient care and education before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures. Ability to understand and navigate the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.
nSanford Rural Health Network Facility sites may expand job responsibilities based on the needs of the facility, to include, but not limited to: on-call rotation nights, weekends, and holidays. Perform diagnostic radiology procedures. Perform basic diagnostic radiology tasks and aware of general radiology protocols. May perform mobile imaging, electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiac monitor placement, and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) procedures.
nQualifications
nCompletion of an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
nWorking knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including radiographic positioning, film/image processing, quality
ncontrol, and radiation protection is required.
nRegistration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
nIf working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, licensure with the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRT) is required.
nIf working in South Dakota, consideration will be given to registry eligible candidates obtaining ARRT within six months of hire into position.
nIn the state of Iowa, all technologists must have a permit to practice through the Iowa Department of Public
nHealth in order to practice in the state of Iowa
nIf working at some clinic locations, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification may be required within the first eight weeks of hire into the position.
nBasic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.
nDriver's license may be required, dependent upon department.
