Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse
Profession: Nursing

Experience: One year nursing experience preferred
License: Pennsylvania Practical Nurse License
Certifications: Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years
Must-Have:
- Knowledge of practical nursing principles and skills needed to provide quality patient care and treatment including examination, diagnostic and treatment procedures, medication effects on patients, and patient education principles
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to react calmly and effectively during emergency situations
- Ability to analyze problems, prioritize, make confident quick decisions, and recommend effective solutions
- Ability to administer a variety of medications and treatments and utilize equipment for examination and treatment procedures
Description:
Assists in the delivery of quality healthcare by exercising sound nursing judgment in accordance with recognized healthcare techniques, procedures, and established standards and administrative policies.
Actively participates as a member of the healthcare team to engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of patient care.
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions.
Basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients.
May require working irregular hours and occasional lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
May be exposed to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, bodily fluids, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
