Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 09/01/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job ID: Role: Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray / Fluoroscopy) Location: Illinois Shift: Nights - with weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 days) Guaranteed Hours: 40 hrs/week Requirements Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology Minimum 2 years of experience required Certifications/Licensure: ARRT - Radiography (required) IEMA-DNS Radiography Accreditation ( required in Illinois ) CPR or BLS - within 90 days of start Responsibilities Perform diagnostic radiographic, portable, c-arm, and fluoroscopic procedures Review patient clinical history, verify appropriate orders/labs, consult radiologist when needed Educate patients on procedures, positioning, and safety Select and operate imaging equipment/accessories; ensure patient comfort and accurate positioning Apply ALARA principles and radiation safety practices for patient, self, and staff Document all procedures, medications/contrast, and reconcile in EMR Use PACS & RIS systems for imaging, records, and reports Assist radiologist with fluoroscopy, special x-rays, and contrast procedures Operate mobile x-ray in OR, ER, and bedside settings Mentor/train new technologists and radiography students Support scheduling adjustments for patient flow and staff coverage Additional Info Holiday/On-Call: Required per rotation Urgency: Normal Billing String: Medefis About Nationwide Therapy Group NTG is a proud partner with healthcare professionals across the country.
