Associate Attorney
We are looking for an Associate Attorney to join our mid-sized law firm in Sacramento, California. Responsibilities: Handle all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing motions, and managing trial preparation. Provide strategic legal advice to clients, ensuring their needs and objectives are met effectively. Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members to develop and execute case strategies. Research and draft legal memorandums, motions, and other critical court documents. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and depositions as needed. Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with legal protocols and deadlines. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, particularly in employment law and civil litigation. Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and high-quality service. Participate in skill development activities to enhance knowledge and expertise. Contribute to the firm's overall success by fostering a team-oriented and supportive work environment. Requirements: Active membership with the California State Bar. At least one year of post-bar experience in civil litigation, either plaintiff or defense. Proficiency in drafting motions, conducting discovery, and preparing legal briefs. Strong knowledge of employment law litigation or other civil litigation practice areas. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present arguments clearly and persuasively. High level of organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Commitment to growth and maintaining ethical standards. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
