SharePoint Administrator - Secret Clearance
MILVETS is currently seeking a skilled SharePoint Administrator to support, manage, and optimize SharePoint Server (2016/2019) environments within a secure enterprise setting. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and migration of SharePoint On-Premises and Online environments. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with IT infrastructure, development, and business teams to ensure SharePoint systems remain secure, reliable, and aligned with organizational needs. Key Responsibilities: Configure, manage, and maintain SharePoint Server environments, including web applications, site collections, content databases, and service applications. Manage user permissions, Active Directory group integration, and SharePoint security policies. Implement governance policies, backup/recovery procedures, and disaster recovery strategies. Perform system health checks, apply patches, cumulative updates, and service packs. Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and respond to alerts or availability issues. Collaborate with Windows Server, IIS, and SQL Server teams on SharePoint-related configurations. Provide Tier 2/3 support to end users and site owners. Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint errors, performance bottlenecks, and service disruptions. Deploy and configure custom/third-party SharePoint solutions, features, and web parts. Support migrations and upgrades between SharePoint versions or to SharePoint Online. Maintain technical documentation, system configurations, and troubleshooting guides. Technical Expertise: SharePoint Server 2016/2019 administration (Central Administration, Search, User Profile Service, Managed Metadata). SharePoint security, user/group management, and Active Directory integration. Migration tools such as SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT), ShareGate, or Metalogix. Windows Server, IIS, and SQL Server administration in relation to SharePoint. Backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and governance strategy implementation. Performance monitoring, log analysis, and system optimization. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, OR Level II Certification (Security+ or better). Minimum of four years of experience in SharePoint Server administration. At least three years of specialized experience managing, configuring, and supporting SharePoint On-Premises environments. Proven experience supporting Tier 2/3 SharePoint troubleshooting and deployments. Preferred Attributes: Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Server Hybrid Administrator Associate. Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator. CompTIA Security+ or higher cybersecurity certification. Experience with hybrid SharePoint solutions (On-Premises and Online). Strong documentation and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional technical teams.
