Monday-Saturday, 6:00a-4:00p WM Training Centers:

By accepting this offer, you acknowledge the requirement to complete training at one of WM's Training Centers, lasting approximately two weeks. The Company will cover all training-related expenses including transportation, accommodations, and daily costs. Successful completion of this training is crucial for ongoing employment at WM. Job Summary:

Under general supervision, the Metal Fabrication Specialist applies welding techniques to fabricate or repair compactors, containers, and carts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform minor repairs and utilize basic welding processes. Repair compactors, containers, and carts. Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and diagnose electrical and hydraulic issues on compactors. Gain proficiency in various welding techniques such as arc welding, gas welding, aluminum welding, brazing, and soft soldering on diverse materials. Execute safety checks on compactors and containers. Complete necessary documentation via fleet maintenance software concerning repairs and parts usage. Assist senior welders with project work as needed. Respond to service calls for compactor repairs. Perform additional tasks including flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, and notching of metal and plastic components. Adhere to Standard Repair Times (SRTs) for all work performed. Work with prints, drawings, and verbal instructions to ensure accuracy. Utilize standard shop hand tools and measuring devices effectively. Maintain a clean and safe workspace in compliance with Corporate and OSHA Standards. Follow established safety procedures for all job tasks. Qualifications: Required:
