Construction Litigation Associate Attorney

A New York City-based law firm with a well-established construction litigation practice is seeking both junior and senior-level attorneys to join its dynamic legal team. The firm is expanding its litigation group and is interested in individuals with experience in construction-related defense, including NYS Labor Law, construction defect, and property damage litigation. This opportunity offers flexible remote work options and the potential for cross-practice contributions within a supportive, growth-oriented legal environment. Duties:
Handle litigation matters related to construction, property damage, and NYS Labor Law claims Conduct and defend depositions Draft legal pleadings, discovery demands, and motions Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings Evaluate claims, strategize a defense, and negotiate settlements Communicate with clients, experts, and other counsel Collaborate with partners and associates on case development Participate in mentoring, training, or integration of new legal staff Contribute to practice development initiatives or firm-wide referrals Requirements:
Prior experience in construction litigation, preferably including NYS Labor Law defense Familiarity with construction defects and property damage claims Experience handling depositions and court appearances Insurance coverage or risk management experience is a plus Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic standing Certifications:
Admission to the New York State Bar (required) Admission to the New Jersey State Bar (preferred) Skills:
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills Strong verbal communication and client interaction abilities Sound professional judgment and strategic thinking High level of initiative, reliability, and a proactive mindset Ability to work independently and as part of a team Job Location:
