Job Summary: The Senior Data Scientist, under the guidance of the Director of Analytics, plays a vital role in transforming data into actionable insights to support strategic decisions. Responsibilities include analyzing complex datasets, developing predictive models, creating dashboards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance Aspire’s analytics capabilities. Job Responsibilities: Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends and opportunities. Conduct exploratory and ad hoc analyses to support business questions. Support the development of predictive models for pricing, claims forecasting, fraud detection, and customer segmentation. Create and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs. Collaborate with stakeholders to define metrics and develop visualizations using Power BI or Tableau. Perform statistical analyses and evaluate program outcomes. Partner with underwriting, product, and marketing teams on analytical projects. Translate business needs into data questions and communicate findings clearly. Work with data engineering teams to improve data quality and documentation. Contribute to data asset development and stay current with industry trends. Education/Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Economics, or Computer Science; Master’s preferred. - 4+ years in a data analytics role, preferably in insurance or financial services. - Experience with insurance data and auto insurance industry is a plus. Skills: Expertise in predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis. Proficiency with Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Tableau. Ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Databricks is a plus. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of Actuarial concepts up to exam 5 is advantageous. Inter-Relationship Skills: Build strong relationships with staff, clients, and partners. Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and stakeholders. Represent the company professionally and provide excellent client service. Working Conditions: This role can be based in an office or remote/hybrid setting. Standard hours apply, with occasional extended hours and travel (up to 15%). Requires frequent use of computers, phones, and collaboration tools. Physical Requirements: Prolonged sitting, frequent use of hands, ability to read and interpret documents, and occasional lifting up to 15 pounds.
