THE POSITION
FanDuel is looking for a Data Scientist to drive our Sportsbook customer generosity distribution and bonus spend optimization. In this role, you will be responsible for customer segmentation, modeling, automation, reporting, and data analysis across all areas of Sportsbook generosity distribution. Using your numerical and technological capabilities, you will play a key role in bonus spend research, optimization, and communicating results to CRM and senior management.

THE GAME PLAN

Manage data science projects from inception to completion, including stakeholder engagement and reporting
Deliver analysis, customer segmentation, and predictive models to drive revenue through optimized bonus spend distribution
Enhance understanding of customer behaviors, promotion efficiency, and bonus spend effectiveness
Develop new features for analysis, segmentation, and modeling through exploratory analysis
Create and improve models that address business challenges and improve KPIs
Present insights and predictions with clear visualizations and explanations
Collaborate with Data Engineering to optimize data pipelines
Develop skills for independent and accurate work
Work with stakeholders to identify improvement areas and support strategic goals
Mentor and develop less experienced team members
Contribute innovative ideas for data science projects to enhance revenue and customer experience
THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate:
At least 3 years of Data Science or Analytics experience
At least 1 year building and deploying complex machine learning models with real-world applications
Strong technical skills for quantitative analysis
Proficiency in SQL and large dataset manipulation in Excel
Experience with Python, R, C#, VBA, etc.
Excellent communication skills for explaining technical work to non-technical stakeholders
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or numerate discipline
An interest in sports and sports betting industry is advantageous

Salary Range : $116,000 - $145,000 USD, depending on experience and location. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), bonuses, and paid time off. The role may also include incentive compensation and stock options.
