MP Engineers + Architect are seeking an experienced
Senior Mechanical Project Engineer
with a
Professional Engineer (PE) license
and strong background in
commercial design projects . This role will lead mechanical engineering design, project management, and client coordination for a range of commercial, institutional, and mixed-use developments. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for commercial buildings. Oversee multiple projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule compliance. Prepare and review technical reports, design documents, and construction specifications. Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and other project stakeholders. Conduct site visits, field inspections, and provide technical guidance during construction. Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers and designers. Support business development efforts by participating in client meetings and preparing proposals. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters ). Active PE license in Massachusetts
required. Minimum
812 years of mechanical engineering experience
with a focus on commercial building design. Proven expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems design. Strong knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE standards, and energy codes. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software. Excellent project management, leadership, and client-facing skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
