Position Summary: Ampcus is seeking an experienced, proactive and organized Project Manager/Scrum Master to lead agile delivery and cross-functional coordination for AI initiatives supporting a leading independent federal agency focused on financial system stability. This role will be central to managing the execution of projects involving Agentic AI, Generative AI (GenAI), and traditional AI/ML technologies, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, compliance standards, and stakeholder expectations. The ideal candidate will bring strong agile leadership, risk management, and communication skills to guide multidisciplinary teams through complex, high-impact AI transformations.
Key Responsibilities: Project & Program Management
Lead planning, execution, and delivery of AI-related projects, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence. Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, and performance metrics aligned with client objectives. Manage dependencies across AI platform development, model deployment, training, and change management workstreams. Agile Facilitation
Serve as Scrum Master for one or more agile teams, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming. Promote agile best practices and continuous improvement across technical and non-technical teams. Remove impediments and foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment. Stakeholder Engagement
Coordinate with client leadership, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment. Communicate project status, risks, and milestones through regular reporting and executive briefings. Support stakeholder onboarding and engagement for new AI capabilities, including Agentic AI systems. Risk & Compliance Oversight
Identify and manage project risks, including technical, operational, and compliance-related concerns. Ensure project activities align with federal standards for security, privacy, and ethical AI use. Collaborate with governance and legal teams to support documentation and audit readiness. Team Coordination & Support
Work closely with AI architects, AI/ML engineers, cloud specialists, and training leads to synchronize efforts. Support resource planning, onboarding, and team development. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing across the engagement.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 7+ years of experience managing complex technology projects, including AI/ML or digital transformation initiatives. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent agile certification. Experience with GenAI platforms and Agentic AI systems. Strong understanding of agile methodologies, project lifecycle management, and stakeholder communication. Experience working with cross-functional technical teams in cloud, data, and AI domains.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in public sector or regulated environments. Knowledge of federal IT compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST). Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Teams).
