Job Description:
This position requires a versatile IT Analyst that will be part of a support and delivery team who will be responsible for application development, system administration and various tasks to support our business customers. They will need some cloud and programming experience along with SQL skills and solid system administration skills. They will be part of a team who participates in a 24/7 on call rotation. Has deep understanding of the development cycle. Can design and build complex software solutions. Has experience turning complex ideas into user stories. From there, can turn user stories into workable solutions, providing estimates to complete the work, and breaking down complex work into smaller components. Assist product owners and business users with questions. Utilizes appropriate Human Performance tools, especially during testing and implementation activities. Can effectively transfer knowledge of technologies built to a less-skilled support team. Assists with testing and migrating code through test regions. Ensures adherence to appropriate design, coding, and source control standards. Leads design and code walkthroughs as a presenter or reviewer. Can present information on technically complex subjects in an understandable manner in both oral and written form. Recognizes appropriate times to provide this communication. Exhibits maturity, confidence and a proper level of assertiveness when needed. Effectively handles stress and frustration. Demonstrates the ability to absorb change and continue with positive results. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in computer science or related discipline 5+ years experience with application development and support Strong interpersonal skills and written/oral communications skills to work effectively with business partners, peer IT resources, managed service providers and all levels of management Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to work on multiple user stories concurrently and properly prioritize required tasks Experience working within an application solution delivery life cycle Desired Qualifications:
Technical Skills (in order of importance): CSS JS Angular C# .net core SQL Terraform GitHub actions AWS tech stack (Lambda, CloudFront, API Gateway, S3, Dynamo, etc.) Kafka Experience with modern source code management tools and processes. Experience with applicable Duke standards, IT Security, and ability to apply/produce appropriate deliverables. Experience working with remote teams Interface and application integration experience
