Sr Software Engineer with Security Clearance

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer Subcontractor: TEKsystems Telecommute: No Clearance Type: Secret Duration: 1-Year Contract-To-Hire Description: This position supports the Department of Defense in developing a launch system for a counter-UAV system for the U.S. Marines. The system includes an embedded Windows computer that interfaces between a tactical control system and hardware to deploy counter-UAV munitions. The role involves modifying both the ASP.NET-based web software and the real-time system running on the hardware. The developer will work closely with customers in real-time and contribute to the design, development, integration, and testing of complex weapon systems in a small, collaborative team environment. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline Minimum 5-10 years of software development experience Proficiency in C# (C/C++ also beneficial) Experience with Python MVC web application development with ASP.NET Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP, UDP, ICMP, multicast) HTML and JavaScript Experience with real-time operating systems Ability to work closely with customers and lead junior developers Preferred Qualifications: Experience with thin-client, web-based applications Background in embedded systems and hardware interfaces Experience in a multi-project, small team environment Familiarity with defense-related software systems Clearance Level: Secret This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret or higher) or the ability to obtain an Interim Secret U.S. Citizenship is required Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually (based on $38.46$43.00/hour) The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, TEKsystems or our federal integrator client considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
